I was fascinated by the inspiring video of Valkyrae joining YouTube as a full-time gaming streamer. It was heartwarming to see that she had a close bond with her father who died in the hospital from cancer in 2017. It reminds me of losing my mother to stage 3 cancer in April 2015. That was a painful journey for me. I could feel Valkyrae’s pain and loss from losing a parent. She said to her YouTube fans that death “was the hardest to accept, but this is life. And we can learn from the hardships.”
